Dan Arthur
Board Member, Chief Engineer, and Technical Advisor
A registered Professional Engineer in 34 states, Dan has worked for major oilfield service companies, oil and gas producers, environmental non-governmental organizations, state and federal government agencies, and major environmental consulting firms over his 40-year career. He is the Founder, President and Chief Engineer of ALL Consulting and has served as its President & Chief Engineer throughout the firm’s 20-year history.
He is a founding member of the Orphan Well Management Association, serves as an Expert Consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in their Methane Emission Reduction Program. Dan has served as a National Expert in the Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program while employed at the EPA, served as the UIC Director for the State of Montana, and has designed, permitted, drilled, completed, and tested hundreds of wells across the country.
Dan is a recognized authority in the regulation, development, and operations of underground injection wells throughout the U.S. He been published and given presentations hundreds of times covering oil and gas, injection wells, and a variety of engineering topics focused on the upstream oil and gas space. He has served as an expert witness on dozens of environmental, technical, geosocial, and regulatory cases across the U.S.
Since earning his degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, Dan has attained numerous credentials including that of an International Registered Professional Petroleum Engineer with the Society of Petroleum Engineers, a Certified Petroleum Geologist with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, a Fellow of the Geological Society, and a Qualified Measurement Specialist. Dan is a member of the National Association of Professional Engineers, National Association of Forensic Engineers, American Association of Civil Engineers, National Ground Water Association, and the Ground Water Protection Council.
